4 Minute Workout – Tabata training
I know what your thinking, is there really any benefit in exercising for just 4 minutes? Well let me ask you this; when was the last time you exerted yourself? I mean properly got your heart pounding and blood circulating? This is fundamental to boosting mood, fat burning and energy levels. Unfortunately none of us have got the time right?
Wrong. Let me introduce you to Tabata training, discovered by Japanese scientist Dr. Izumi Tabata. The principles of Tabata training are;
- Work as hard as you can for 20 seconds
- Rest for 10 seconds
- Repeat 8 times
That’s just 4 minutes of actual work! Try this one out;
The big question is; will it make a difference? Well, there’s only one way to find out. Can you fit 4 minutes into your day? Give it a go for a week and see if your digestion, weight, mood and energy levels benefit. The thing we often forget is; What you do everyday is more important than what you do once in a while.
