Naturally, Beat a Cold.
You’ve worked hard all year, you are looking forward to some much needed time off but before you’ve even left the office you feel a little tickle in your throat… the dreaded cold has arrived.
If you want to make this year different then here is how to beat a cold naturally in 24 hours;
7am – Get up and have a hot shower & drink a glass of warm lemon (1 slice) and honey (1/4 of tsp) water.
8am – Have a big breakfast with protein & healthy fats like smoked salmon, eggs & avocado plus an Echinacea tea (loose leaf is best – otherwise check it’s 100%).
9am – Head outside to expose yourself to natural light and movement – but wrap up warm.
10am – Eat a handful of natural antioxidant medication – berries, then have another Echinacea tea.
12 noon – Powerbreathe, take big, loud breaths in through the nose, following the breath right to the pit of your stomach, then exhale out of the mouth.
1pm – Eat some hot organic chicken soup (ideally made from bone stock.)
2pm – Mind over matter. Don’t give into the words ‘I’m sick’ tell yourself your immune system is fighting off an illness – it’s much more empowering!
3pm – Have another Echinacea tea and a 15min powernap if necessary.
5pm – Watch a funny movie, or my favourite You’ve Been Framed. You know what they say – laughter is the best medicine!
6pm – Make & eat a spicy curry with fresh chillies and lots of turmeric.
8pm – Soak in a hot Epsom bath for 10 minutes.
9pm – Turn all electronics off so the light omitted from the screens doesn’t effect your sleep.
10pm – Get 8 hours sleep to give your body enough time to repair.
