Who doesn’t like a BBQ! You can’t go wrong with grilled meats, salads and social eating – however you can totally ruin the essence of BBQ dining with cheap bangers or store bought marinades! This easy gluten and dairy free BBQ marinade can be used with ribs, chicken, pork, fish or vegy kebabs.
You will need;
A bowl or blender (optional)
Ingredients (makes 400ml):
- 2 Cooking Apple (Peel & Cut into tiny cubes)
- 250ml Tomato Passata
- 30ml Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Coconut Aminos or Fish Sauce
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1tsp Smoked Chilli Flakes
- 1tsp Ground All Spice
- 1tsp Sea Salt
- 1tsp Black Pepper
Step 1: Place cooking apple in a saucepan with 4 tablespoon of water. Cook until softened.
Step 2: Add Tomato Paste, Balsamic Vinegar & Coconut Aminos cook for a further 5 mins.
Step 3: Add Paprika, Chilli, All Spice, Salt & Pepper cook out for a further 3 mins. Cook on low for 15 mins. Leave chunky or wizz up in blender until smooth. Leave to cool.
Step 4: Marinade meat or vegetables of your choice (overnight if possible.) The marinade can be kept in the fridge for up to a week or you can freeze it in batches for future BBQ’s.
