2018 Fitness Events – Do you need a challenge?
In our opinion, there is literally nothing more motivating for clients than having a purpose. It’s hard to explain, but truly purpose-driven clients somehow seem like their being pulled towards their goals rather than having to constantly push themselves to achieve it.
Signing up to a physical challenge is a great way to increase your internal motivation because not only will it give you a true purpose to train for, but you’ll also be accountable to yourself, the date of the event and anyone you’re brave enough to share your audacious plans with!
We’ve chosen three events for 2018 to challenge our friends, families, clients – and their inner circles. We believe EVERY experience is more fun when you can share it so we would LOVE for you to join us too……..
Challenge #1 London Winter Run – 10km run on Sunday 4th February
Challenge #2 Sunday 6th May open water swim at the lake.
Visit or call Leybourne Lakes, say you’re with DayOne Wellness and would like to book a swim induction for either 11am or 1pm. It’s 45 minutes in open water, then afterwards you can try your hand at paddle boarding or just enjoy being outside in nature! No wetsuit, no problem you can rent one there. Once you’re signed up add yourself to the D1 community Facebook group, check the group a week before for details on where to meet and bring a picnic for afterwards!
Challenge #3 Swim, Bike, Run or TRI all three – Hever Castle Saturday 22nd September
Join many of the coach’s for their first triathlon’s or choose from; sprint distance triathlons, swim distances, 1/2 marathons and even kid’s triathlons. Book online here, and if you choose the Henry VIII distance type DayOne in the code and you’ll go in the same wave as the coach’s. Once signed up add yourself to the D1 community Facebook group, check the group a week before for details on where to meet, plus all importantly – where we will be celebrating afterwards!
Challenge #4 Park Run – 5km timed fun run Every Saturday 9am @ various locations
Throughout the year all the D1 coach’s will be attending various Park Runs on a Saturday morning – if you’ve never done a Park Run before this is a perfect opportunity to meet one of the team down there and complete your first one with familiar faces. We will warn you though, they are highly addictive! Your Friday nights and Saturday mornings will never be the same again! Add yourself to the D1 community Facebook group to keep updated on where our coach’s will be then register here.
We TOTALLY understand that these challenges can seem daunting – but I promise you, great things happen when you step outside of your comfort zone!
